Ending Domestic Violence Creating Social Change
Train the Trainer Program for
Schools & Community Agencies
Peaceful Paths' Violence Prevention Program is committed to promoting
healthy relationships. Since 2003, we have worked with youth in local
schools and community organizations providing education on this issue.
Our curriculum adheres to the Sunshine State Standards and incorporates
research-based reading strategies across the curriculum.
We are now excited to offer our Train the Trainer program. As our brochure (pdf) describes, this program will provide training and follow-up technical assistance to interested staff at your school/agency. It is designed to give tools to staff to build their toolbox of ways to talk with students about healthy vs. unhealthy relationships. The format is flexible based on your time needs, but some of the topics we may cover include: dynamics of domestic/dating violence, talking with youth about relationships, healthy relationships activity ideas, media literacy discussion and activities, resource lists, and more! In addition to training, we are able to provide assistance to staff who are interested in developing lesson plans around this issue. This assistance could take the form of brainstorming meetings, kick off presentations, or whatever best fits that staff person’s needs.
